Wiper motor 1971
Hi
I have a tricky problem with my wipers, when the engine is turned off and ignition on the wipers work.
When the engine is running the wipers doesn't not work, the wiper motor has 12 volt all the time.
Any ideas about trouble shooting?

Hi L,
I'm thinking that with the engine not running you're opening the wiper door manually to check the wiper power switch in the car.
When the engine is running is the wiper door opening far enough to push the wiper door limit switch which allows the wipers to begin operating?
Without that button being pushed the wipers won't operate.
Regards,
Alan

Hi L,
Yes, wiper motor should only have power when the limit switch is depressed.
Does it still have power if you pull the plug on the switch tail?
Regards,
Alan
