Today Lars had a short layover in Miami on his way on vacation. I had the privelege of spending time with him, his wife and daughter, and meeting some other forum members. It was a blast.
He did a tuning session for us, checked out our cars, gave great advice, replaced my advance springs, etc, etc, etc.
Lars, all I can say is a great big THANK YOU! You are a class guy.
Who else would give up vacation time to work on cars in the S. Fla. heat
Oliver (Grandsport C3) will probably post some pics.

We had a great day with Lars! Lars really knows his stuff!!! It's incredible how fast he was able to tune our cars...
Unfortunately his stay was very short... :( :( I hope he will be back to Miami soon!!! Here is a pic of Lars's visit!!!
From left to right: Marc (SHOPTEK), Guillermo (IT STINGS), J.J., John (blue 54 Corvette survivor owner - hopefully Corvetteforum member soon), Lars and yours truly (Olivier - GrandSportC3)
After Lars and Marc left - John, Guillermo and me had a couple more beers.. John is still here as I'm typing this message!!!
Yeah.. Lars is a great guy. "The High Priest Of Vettes" I always say. In the pic.. does the biggest grin mean the most beers consumed??? :jester :jester That would be Lars :jester :jester

Well - I don't think that Lars had more than 2 or 3 beers... Time was running out fast... The biggest drinkers were me and John... Guillermo and John stayed a little longer and we had more beers. However -Guillermo switched to water later because he had to drive back home... John an yours truly were the "big" drinkers..... However - measures on european standards - we almost didn't drink anything.....
Wow, Thanks! It's great to put some faces to the names. :) I'm presently running my numbers - NOT- Matching carb which Lars overhauled for me. (My correct one is in restoration for now). Lars put in the right needles, jets etc... It was what came on the car and was some sort of truck Q-jet and was way to lean for a vette. But now, after Lars' Magic, it's running great! I had to tweak the idle speed a bit, and make the idle mixture a tad leaner (it's been real hot here lately!). But it's running LIGHT YEARS better than before! :yesnod: Thanks Lars!
When I read how tight lars schedule was - a couple of hours between flights? - I had this mental image which you just completed for me......
As lars is running out the door, he turns and says, "Sorry Olivier, I really got to run! Don't worry, I will email you instructions on how to put your intake back on!!!"

Sorry I took so long to post. I've haven't been near a computer. Oliver, thank you for hosting our meet and making sure we all had a great time and a beer in our hands  I don't know where to begin thanking Lars. Lars was troubleshooting and correcting our timing and carbs in minutes. He identified problems I didn't even know I had. I thought my car was running great. Little did I know I only had 3/4 throttle and no advance. He truely is a car nut to the third power. I don't know anyone that would work on cars during a layover. Truly a classy guy. And last but not least thanks to Olivers' girlfriend. She took excellent care of a bunch of car nuts and never threw us out.
Oliver I hope to see you this Friday at the Tower. I'll give you call this week. :chevy :flag  :D
