On my '75, it is next to the fuse box (inside the car) under the dashboard on the left (driver's) side. It is literally just hanging in space. (like Paul's pic above.)

I'm "pretty sure" they started putting them there in cars with model year 1974 like yours.

My 1974 marks its territory as well. Not serious; just wants to ensure that my garage is its home.

Let me know how it works out, I went through the whole horn system earlier this year to get mine working.
