Wanted: A Loaner ALternator.
I am in the process of trying to figgure out why my starter is dying when it gets hot, and I found that boosting the car makes it turn over. So I am thinking I have a bit of a charging problem. Plus My stereo lights pulse when there is lots of base when it is turned up (note: I don't have an external amp. It is just the one in the deck). So I am looking for a alternator I can borrow to see if that is inded my problem before I shell out the cash to buy a new one.
T.O. guys... Any of you have one. That might be the easest since there would be no shipping...

Chris, I have two laying around. Let me know when and if you want to borrow it.
BTW-Canadian Tire does free testing on both alternators and starters at the auto parts counter.

I think I will try that tonight. I am going to flush the Rad, so I have to get some stuff from Canadian Tire, So I will take it over.

I went the Canadian Tire route. After going to 3 diffrent ones (the first 2 had broken machines) I finally got it tested.. It it a good alternator. So it looks like I will be checking other parts.
