Fuel gauge just repaired/refurbished.
The needle is at 3 o'clock, indicating sending unit is defective.
In Looking up replacing sending unit
The pictures shown, is not the same as my 69.
I Previously replaced the filler neck and did not look like the attached picture.
I could see the float unit, looking into the tank. All components seem to be on the bottom of the tank.

Thanks Alan,
There is so much misleading information out there.
Plus the suppliers sell so many items improperly identified.
Thanks again for you input.

Recommend you look at Paragon Corvette's web site. They have good drawing for every part on your car. Their printed catalog is great.
Wilcox has a good trouble shooting guide on the fuel gauge/sending unit. As I recall, the sender reads from about zero ohms to about 95 ohms. Hook up an ohmmeter and see what yours reads as you move the float from limit to limit.
I can't ID your photo. If it's taken through the fuel door, something isn't correct. And as Alan says, the sending unit is accessed from the bottom of the tank. Which means you have to drain the tank to safely remove the sending unit.
If you haven't replaced the hoses connecting the tank to the hard lines, you probably should. I found it nearly impossible without at least partially dropping the tank. I do t have small hands.
