I have the stock 4bbl carb on my 81. The motor was swapped by the PO with a L48 so no electronics. My ? is, how do the throttle and kick down cables run and connect to the carb? I do not have the stock brackets due to a aftermarket intake so I picked up a Mr. Gasket bracket set.
I didnt take this car apart so not sure how it goes back together.

1. You can't run the stock carb on an '81 without the computer.
2. The stock throttle cable/kickdown bracket does not attach to the intake - it attaches to the 2 rear carb hold-down bolts, so there is no reason not to use it. A "generic" Mr. Gasket bracket isn't going to work. Find a stock bracket, install it, and everything will line up and work once you get a carb that will function without the ECM.
