I have a 71 350 vette
it was started 2 months ago no problem
I tried to run it yesterday but it like there is no battery hooked to it
But there is and it is good!
i Checked the fuseable link and it is good no burn spots on it.
Does anybody have any other ideas as to what might be going on and what to check?
Even though the battery may test good while hooked up, corroded posts and cables is where I would always start. Work from the battery and all those connections including the starter. Probably involves a bad ground, a bad ground cable connection or corrosion built up on the posts and cables. It's always something simple, just really hard to find!

Reason: Length...
Hi 72,
I agree that it's probably something small as N suggested.
Are you remembering that the clutch needs to be depressed to start 4-speed cars?
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
Had a similar issue with my 78... stopped for gas, then nothing. It ended up being the grounding cable from the battery that bolts to the frame crossmember. The star-type lockwasher between the strap and the frame had corroded to powder and I wasn't getting a ground. It had all the symptoms of a dead battery, (which I replaced with no results). Anyway, it's worth a look.
