I just reinstalled my new dash as I had to remove it to drill the mounting holes for my glove box door. After the replacing of all the dash pieces into their proper places I took the car for a ride and noticed that whenever I turn my signals or hazard lights on the dash lights flash on and off with the signal lights. I change all the interior light bulbs and outside signal bulbs to LEDs. I purchased 2 flasher units designed to work with LED (one for signals and one for the hazard lights.
I checked the ground wire on the drivers side bird cage where I added the two ground wires from the new flasher units. I removed the center console, center dash custer and speedo custer hoping to find that a screw punctured a wire by mistake but I still have the same problem
I think that I am on my way to finding the problem
I just unpluged the front end wiring from the firewall wiring hub and the remaining lights are working fine. I guess now I will look for some bad wiring connections.
After removing the complete front lamp wiring harness and reconditioning it, I found out that it was not the problem. The problem was fixed once I removed all the front end LED light bulbs and the LED flasher units and replaced them with the old incandescent light bulbs and the old flasher units. I will probably introduce the LEDs later and slowly to see if I can find the problem with them.
