Default Hooker Headers issue

When I was building Engines in the 70's Hooker was top notch. I left and went to aircraft and retired from that and went back to auto engines. I rebuilt the 350 in my '72 and beefed it up some (needed clutch and valve job so engine rebuild was almost a given / cylinder ridges etc.).
I bought Hooker headers and never again. I had to modify the right side due to floor board interference and the left side clutch pivot arm needed modification, which was stated on the install instructions but they were wrong too; I had to modify them also.
I have since been told they are no longer built in the States and it is very telling.
Never again will I buy Hooker products.

So to sum things up, you are not going to spend your money on hookers anymore.

That sucks, I have the Hooker comps in my vette with no fitment issues what so ever, bought them 6 years ago. I can see with the pivot arm there being issues but can imagine them hitting the floor, can you return them?

oops!

Some say Mexico some say they are made in the states.... who knows for sure? Only Holley... since they own hooker as well as a couple other "competing"? Brands now... I went with obx on my side pipes and had the exact same clearance issues to fix as many complain about on the hookers...
