Default 200r4

Got tired of filling up my 24 gal tank and only going maybe 250 miles, so I bought a 200r4 trans. lucky me, my buddy Dean (known as '75 around here) rebuilt it and is now installing it. maybe he'll post pics? best mechanic I've ever known.

You won't regret it. It's like getting a new car.

I put in a tko 600 with similar overdrive to your 200r4. I'm getting 14-15 mpg on the highway. With a 496. And 3.90 diff gears. It's pretty awesome.

Well Dan, the old one is out and on the floor and the 200-4r is bolted in. Best advise I can give at this point is, get help lifting the trans on and off the jack that's around 4 ft tall. My back is barkin' at me.

The hard part's over. May have to ding the left exhaust pipe to get a little clearance from the trans pan. There's not much room there!

There's lots of good info over there about these transmissions. Those guys put some crazy power through them.
