Default Help Needed Vac Port Routing

Soon to be installing my 383 Stroker into 76 w/350 TH Tranny. The carb I'll be using is the original Q-Jet, intake is a Edelbrock Performer Air Gap. Dizzy is original w/vac advance.

Question is: The carb has a total of 7 vacum connection locations, 3 lower front (1-small, 1- medimum & 1-large), 1 mid front (small), 2 lower rear (1-small, 1-big), and 1 upper rear (medimum). Intake has one, a 3/8 NPT port in the rear runner to #8 Cyl.

Which should I utilize and for what. I'll assume all others get pluged.

Is there a chart showing the intended use for each of these ports??

Thanks.

If you Google "Quadrajet vacuum port diagram" you will find an abundance of images and such with the information you seek.

But, the best source will be the page from the Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) for your year car. I know it comes up frequently in responses -some times in chiding- but the AIM and the shop manual really are invaluable resources.

After all the searching I did, I eventually found a good one right in the service manual. I then shortly after found a better one, colour coded, right on the damn hood. The whole time the original stock sticker was right on my stock hood 2 feet from my dumb face!

Had to laugh brainsoft.
Sometimes the best place to hide something is right out in the open.
