I knew it would be a matter of time before it happened. A few months ago someone posted a picture at this formum of a leaf blower connected to the intake manifold. It was wired to an inverter and wired to the cars electrical system. It worked like a supercharger. Supposed to be worth a few horspower, so they say. Looked awfull lot like a bubba joke to me.
Theroritcally thought, it is a sound idea. well guess what. I knew someone would put this in to production and damned if they didnt. Check this out on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1846541758 :seeya
Its not often I get a good reason to use this smiley: :bs
I seriously doubt that its actually giving you anything in the way of boost. I also doubt the longevity of that motor. Of course, I'm no expert. So I'll believe it when I see it...
Let's see it's rated at up to 600 cfm and I got a 750cfm dp so for $175 + the other parts listed I get to reduce my air flow by 150 cfm.......where do sign!! :bs
The steady-state air flow ought to make for some interesting air/fuel ratios through the power band! I like the chain saw/leafblower idea. Only problems would be throttle control, noise, and that pesky light blue smoke! Yeea Haw! I could BE bubba! All those rice-a-roni cars would quake in fear fer sur.
