'69 price
Assuming evenything is "as advertised" what would be a reasonable bid on this car?

The whole ad talked about trhe engine and nothing about the rest of the car. How is the interior? the frame? suspension? brakes?
You have NO idea what the overall condition of the car is other than what he said about the engine. And with that, just saying it's a non-matching #'s '69 with a '69 dated big block would have been sufficient.
I'd definitely look at it before buying. If everything is in good shape, I'd say $12-14k. Just a guess though.

I'd say $10-12K. Non matching #s, nothing much stock under the hood takes away a few thousand in value. Also the sidepipes look funky (painted gray?) and since he says "should be replaced with a stock exhaust," I'm guessing they're shot. And though he says the chrome is nice he says nothing about the paint, which looks a little dull to me and since paint ALWAYS looks a lot better than it really is in a picture, I'm guessing it's pretty rough. The current bid of $10,200 is about as high as I'd be willing to go.
