In all seriousness, there is a thread (or should I say a ton of threads) on oil and zinc (zddp) etc etc etc. Diesel oils, race oils, dino vs synth oils, additives, to choke a horse.

I use AMSOIL Z-rod 10w-30 oil at my shop. That is what I would put in your car if it were in my shop. Especially knowing that it is a flat tappet engine.

Amsoil Z-Rod for a true group IV synthetic. Mobil 1 15W-50 "synthetic" group III+ for the best value @$25 for 5 qts at Walmart. I used Mobil 1 15W-50 for years in my OEM L-82 before the rebuild this year with a roller cam. Currently using conventional oil Driven 15W-50 but will be switching at the next oil change to Group IV synthetic Mobil 1 0W-40 European Formula (the ONLY Mobil 1 grades that are true Group IV are the 0W-40 and 5W-50) for $25 for 5 Qts but I have a roller cam now, not a flat tappet cam.
