Rotor/cap replacement interval
I have a '77 with the stock HEI and basically a stock motor. How often should I change the cap and rotor. I just did the plugs , wires, cap and rotor last fall and about 7000 miles ago! 
P.s. I rebuilt the entire HEI last fall!

I only put 600-700 miles per year on mine, so I replace the cap every 5 or 6 years.
