Anyone ever rebuild their A6 A/C compressor?
I was wondering how difficult it is to do. I have no faith in the auto store rebuilt units.
Auto Zone has the clutch removal and install tools for loan.
Where did you get the various parts such as the bearings, seals, etc.

It is not that hard to do but you do need some special tools. There is a A/C tool kit available but I don't know where to find one. GM (Harrison) still sells new A6 compressors and they work a lot better than those rebuilt POS'S that most auto parts store sell. That is what I would use.
