Silver Sport Transmissions is the remains of Kiesler where my TKO 600 came from. I think they are a forum vendor...they seem to want to go the extra mile with the customer. Just checked.....I can't be banned.....they are forum advertiser. Scroll down to bottom of vendor list to transmissions.....I still think the 1310 Ujoint is the best fit with a TKO.....only Silver a Sport has that type of conversion.

We can't make a recommendation unless they are a forum vendor?

Thanks for the mention, it is greatly appreciated.
I had great support from American Powertrain with my TKO600 and Hyd Clutch (I mean, uh, if they're still a supporting member) even though my car isn't even on the road yet....

Can you explain why not to buy from them. They may be hungry and give ultimate support. Every company at some time is a startup. If you don't give anyone of them a chance nobody will be in business.
I just checked out their website. I wanted to see some ballpark prices so I could see if it was something I could afford. The only option I saw was 'contact us for a quote'....I think that will scare many guys like myself off who think "if you have to ask, you cant afford it'.
I just bought a 5-speed conversion kit from Silver Sport a month and a half ago. Customer service was great and the entire kit shipped out within a few days of placing the order. The system installed relatively trouble free (even though it was a very major operation). I did have a part that had to be replaced which they immediately sent me after a quick phone call. It wasn't cheap by any means, but well worth it to me. It's like a different car.
I bought the old Keisler TKO 600 kit with all SFI and blow proof bell. 22 billet steel pound fly manual Sachs clutch 1350 drive line. I have sinse went with a 11.5 pound

Sounds great! What transmission did you have originally? Were any mods needed to the chassis or was it truly 'PerfectFit'? Can you describe more how it is a different car? More comfortable cruising RPMs on highway? What year is your car?
I have driven a TKO and think I would like to go with a Richmond 5 speed. However it looks like the OD unit is a little longer than the non-OD 5 speed. I want my shifter in the stock location and don't want to cut up the old girl too much. Any feedback?
If you go with a Richmond, get a Long shifter. They are miles ahead of the Hurst. Also, use Redline's manual transmission fluid (not rear end gear diff oil). It smooths out the shifts alot due to higher friction for the synchro's. The 5 speed fits perfectly in a C3 and you only have to modify the transmission mount some, which they provide instructions for in the installation manual.

The poster needs a tranny that is rated for 600 foot pounds of TQ

I should also add , I decided to go 4L80E .. 3200 stall .. That will hold the torque and be about as indestructible as i can get with out any maintenance issues.
