Only in 1st or 2nd? Odd that it isn't even more pronounced in higher gears, which has me thinking more of a torque related issue. Not easy to pinpoint from internet distance, but with no apparent worn/loose suspension link likely at fault (you may want to do a more thorough investigation than the M1 eyeball test) the next suspects I'd be checking would probably be the diff x-member mounts and diff side yoke endplay. I checked it appears ok but I need to raise the back of the car. Can I do that with a block of wood between the jack and the end of the spring, high enough for jack stand?
Did you run the car with the rear wheels off the ground at full droop? You probably popped a side yoke snap ring off inside the differential.....grab a wheel and try pulling it in/out a good differential will only move around 1/16-1/8" sloppy one a little more....if the clip is out....it will move a bunch.....not good!

Jack up your car at the frame location recommended by GM.
