Need to put power steering back on my L68, it was not there when I bought it. What is the prefered install? I wouldn't mind better than stock power steering, read about changing the output fitting of the stock pump, or do I go with steeroids? Also like to keep cost in line, is there a place/distributor near Toronto. Any and all opinions appreciated.
Was your car originally equipped with power steering? Do you still have the pump brackets and the original steering box?
You can replace the stock system, through the various vendors, for $500-$600 canadian. Borgeson makes a complete conversion kit that includes all brackets, pump, hoses, etc but will come in around $900 all in. Another option may be to contact one of the used Corvette parts shops and see if you can find the stock set-up and rebuild the parts; you may be able to save a few dollars that route.

Originally the car had power steering but not by the time I got it. I have no brackets, pump or pulleys.
Where is Bogeson retailed?

I like the idea of replacing the stock system. I have no parts, can you suggest any vendors?
I got Borgeson this past summer and love it-68 w/o ps before-ordered from Amazon and saved about $200 over Borgeson and other vendors-came in Borgeson box with everything but pulley. Good luck

Thanks, Rog.
Rog, you have a few different options depending on what may be left on your car. Corvette Depot is located in Windsor with low shipping but you do have to pay taxes. They have this complete conversion kit with all brackets, etc. http://www.corvettedepot.ca/index.ph...oducts_id=2536
What you should do is take a couple of pictures from under the car to see what has been done to convert it to manual. You may still have some of the parts from PS still in place to save some money. I purchased my replacement parts (original PS car) from Willcox due to their Forum pricing and weekly sales. Some of the vendors want a core deposit for the valve and cylinder and you don't have those to send back. Willcox has 'new' components with no core required.
