Hi
Need some help on routing the plug wires through the looms/grommets. This is a 72 base coupe. I am looking for the placement of the plug wires in the grommets at the rear of the block and the supports adjacent to the distributer.
The four hole square grommets have slits at each hole. With four wires in the grommet, the grommet slides into the U shaped slot on the bracket. Ditto for the looms on the lower brackets.

And this is the easy part of the job.
Just wait until you try to pass them around the starter loom and through the motor mounts.
Let me try again. I am looking for the order the wires pass through the grommits.Which one is closest to the block and so on.
Well that's a horse of a different color...
I'm sure you'll find there are exactly 24 correct opinions per side.
I generally attempt to separate adjacent firing cylinders from each other.
Hi t,
The grommet for the lower passenger side bracket has a wire number next to each hole, for the other 3 it doesn't matter.
I place the wires carefully so that they run smoothly to where they're headed
Regards,
Alan
Routing the front cylinder wires was not a problem. When i looked to see how they were run i noticed the motor mounts were bad. It then turned out i had a leaky freeze plug behind the passenger mount. So at this point the thing is so torn appart the wires were not very hard to do.
