tach problem

my 77 tach is pegged at 7000 until i put the turn signal on in witch case it does a 360 with each click of the signal any ideas thanks

OBVIOUS wiring issues. Needs to be investigated and having a wiring diagram is a MUST...along with other specific test tools.

Since the 75-77 tach was a plug up direct tach I have to go with DUB, something is spiking the tach thought the t/s circuit. I feel sure it's cooked the tach board what ever it is. But about the only way you'll find out is to tear the dash out of the car.
