WHERE is the PINK 12...that turns into the RED 12 getting its voltage????
A fusible link is a wire ( that is really soft like a spaghetti noodle) and IS SMALLER than the wire it is attached to. AND from the factory...where these two join...GM either has a thick round plastic block covering this connection...either in a black or white-ish plastic.
You lost me on what I recommend for a 'good ground'??? A ground for what???? This is a very 'open' question. Need to you be MORE specific....IN DETAIL.
PINK 12 that turns to RED 12 to coil is getting voltage from the switch from the RED BIG TERMINAL on starter. It is switched at the key.
This worked for the last setup...should be fine, right?
YEs...got 2 fusible links on the RED BIG TERMINAL wire on starter. Nothing on Purple. Do I need anything on this?
GROUND...I need to ground the MSD system...at the distributor area. Since it is a fiberglass firewall...what area would you recommend? where?
BTW Quickfuel said send electric choke to IGN terminal on fuse panel. for switch on, and only pulls 4-7 amps max.
FOUND THAT PESKY wire block that I pulled off the old setup...
all i did was bypass this...connnecting the PINK12 to RED12 to starter...

YES...IF the PINK 12 is coming off your ignition switch and turning into the RED 12 and going to the COIL.....you are fine.

On the frame or the engine block.

Sounds like a plan....IF when doing this...if for some odd reason the fuse blows (because that IGN port in the fuse panel is FUSE PROTECTED)...you might need to put a fuse in a bout 5 amps higher.
