Default LS1 fuel pump

Working on my LS1 swap. Starting on the fuel system. I've found the threads on fuel pump mounting. I'm going external Bosch 044. Used them in the past and worked really well along with the C5 filter regulator.

In the threads some have mounted the pump and filter to the cross member right in front of the tank. Does mean the spare tire carrier is no longer usable?

Any pics of it mounted on either the left or right frame rail?

For once it would be nice to have spare tire.

Thanks,

I think most that mount it there lose the spare tire.
I kept my spare, mounted a walbro 255 on the inside of the passenger side frame rail. There's not much room so I mounted them over/under each other.
