Used cam a bad idea?

I don't know the guy at all... someone on Craigslist. I've made no contact to see if the lifters are in order. Who knows he might just say "yeah" and put #'s on them to get the sale. Personally I know to mark that kind of stuff, but does this guy?
I'm sure the stock springs would have to go regardless of what cam I use. Probably keepers too since they've been disturbed... in the "might as wells" column! Along with the timing chain, rockers & push rods. Not to mention dropping a main and rod cap while the pan is off!!
