Had new valve cover gaskets put on car about 150 mile ago. Clear liquid showing up on the garage floor. I called service and was told that it was engine degrease that they used. How long is this stuff suppose to keep running down the side of the engine and on to the floor? Have I been given a LOS. :nonod: Does this stuff ever go away? :mad

Re: Degreaser (Terry McIntyre)
Are you sure the clear liquid is not oil that is leaking from the new valve cover gaskets.
Now I don't know what the service department _really_ did, so I won't second guess the degreasing thing. But, I don't ever remember having anyone ever do any degreasing for me. Something sounds funny here.
Take a rag and run it around the sealed edge of the valve cover and see it the rag comes out oil free.
