Default Sidepipe muffler inserts

Ordered these to day from Summit
DOU-D952
to replace the hooker existing look to be way to restrictive.
A little WD-40 and they came right out.
Anybody else running these? Supposed to be louder and deeper less restrictive.

Yes, I put these in this summer and they are great. The only way I can explain the sound is they sound like the Cobras. My original pair was stock from XS-Power and were a little quiet for me. These have a good sound and really open up with a foot to the floor. I tack welded mine in so as not to have them rattle.

this link shows the three types Doug's has but does not give internal dimensions, but visually the largest core looks pretty large

If I remember correctly, the center hole was "banana" sized....not too loud where the guy next to you is rolling up his window, but enough to turn heads.

I didn't like the sound of the summit inserts- sounded way too much like a couple of muddin' trucks my friends have.

I'll be posting my corvette idle video on youtube soon and you can see what the Classic Chambered Exhaust inserts sound like with a mild 355 under the hood. I'm searching for my driving videos as well.

At 47-50 mph its the sweetest sounding hot rod I've ever driven or ridden in.

Well worth the cost and I believe there's a 3" core version now- I wish I had those!!

I'll post a link as soon as youtube stops being so slow at uploading...

I forgot- I've got the idle video on facebook if you want to check there.

They look like my Hooker Max Flow inserts which have a 2.5" opening straight through.
