Default Wheel Question Weld 2.0

Hello,

Need some advise. I want to install a set of Weld 2.0 15X10 5x4.50 Bolt Patter with 5" backspacing. I plan to run the standard 275 Drag Radial Tire.

Is this the correct back spacing for my car? I have the stock trailing arms but have removed the e-brake tab. Will these stick out to far?

Do I have to purchase off-set Trailing Arms to run these wheels?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

. Hello Joe, not sure about backspacing but thought you need 4.75 bolt pattern. Good luck, Greg

I think you need a solid axle

Offset trailing arms for sure and you can check w MT but I'm almost positive those tires work best with an 8" rim. 4.75 bolt pattern. I'm not sure on the bs.
They are going to stick out a bit but the tread area should squeeze under the fender so only the sidewall will stick out but won't look bad at all especially on your car with the cowl hood.

Thanks man,

I want to go with the new Rear Black Bead Locks and the matching front runners. My Convo-Pros are 15X8.5 but I'm not sure on the backspacing. Purchased them a long time ago. I wish I could do the AutoFab. I'm sure it will happen when my Super 10 implodes!

Take care,

Joe

I have no first hand knowledge of what will fit, however if Holley505 can fit a 4.5" BS then that would be better.
If using a 10" wheel, with 4" BS, this moves your tire out an additional 2" beyond the stock 8" wheel. I would think fender clearance would be an issue.

A comment, If you are purchasing new wheels, why stay with 15" when there are many options with 17" wheels and many more tire choices.
15" tire choices are not good.

That's not a bad idea. I found a set of Weld 2.0's in 16" front runners and 17" rears. I guess I should start with offset trailing arms and go from there. I really want a 10" wide rim and at least a 275 or 325 Drag Radial on the rear that is tucked up under the rear fender with no flairs. My goal is the X275 stance with my 75.

When I researched wheels & tires last fall, I checked eBay Foose wheels they have several 17" 18" set ups with back spacing listed

cobrachuck,

Thanks man, Foose wheels are fantastic! I am going for the Drag Car stance since I typically don't do any auto crossing just straight line stuff. I found these that look perfect for the front runners.
