Default Park lights 79

Have a 79 L82, park lights quit working, had them one day and not the next, turn the light switch to park lights, nothing, pull the switch all the way out and the headlights and front park lights come on, have turn signals and brake lights, what should I look for? Thanks in advance

NONE of the parking lights work....CORRECT So...NO front park lights and NO rear lights.....CORRECT.

A fuse.....or a bad headlight switch.....more than likely a blown fuse or one that is corroded and not making a good contact.

Do you have wiring diagram?????....if not...it might be good idea to get one if you plan on working on your own car with some other basic test tools.

Check your 'TAILLIGHT' fuse.

probably a bad contacts inside the light switch.

The front parking lamps have a jumper harness.. and it's quite common for the connectors in this harness to corrode.

You might pull the jumper harness loose and check there for power with a test light. See if you have power before the jumper, if you do then take a hard look at the jumper connections.

Can be you your rear body wiring harness connector by the fuse panel.
