I've been following your posts the past few months on electric fans with much interest. I've got a 69 BB and have another option for you that seems to fit well. These Summit fans, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g4850, are a little more expensive than the 11" ones you linked to, but are 12" duals w/S blades so maybe a little quieter. As you can see from the pics they almost cover the entire surface of the radiator and clear the left control arm by at least 1/4".
It will be at least a month before I'm road-ready again and probably a few months from weather that will really test the fans cooling ability.
I went with the FLX-480 from summit. 3,000cfm and I like it. I know it's pricy but it covers most of the radiator and fits like it belongs there. I also upgraded my alternator to 100A.
