Default Replacing intake manifold ,question

I have a 1974 corvette. Right below the distributer and right behind the manifold there is a valve with a wire coming out of the fire wall ,is this a temp valve i don't think its oil pressure but it could be :save me the trouble of chasing the wire please!(valve says introl on it no numbers)

Is it standing upright threaded in the block? You save valve, do you mean sending unit? If yes to both questions it sounds like the oil pressure sender.

I agree with the above. That is the oil pressure sensor. The 1974 was the first year that got away from the old pressure tubing system to the gauge and went electric. Saved a lot of under dash oil messes.
