Default Pulling TA,s...dumb question

I am assuming that all four corners of the car will go up on jack stands. Actually, I am thinking six stands for safety. Am I on the right track.

Had it only on 2 stands in the rear. I still feel safer with the car on its own wheels.

Did you have the front wheels chocked? Couldnt the car roll forward with the rear raised up? I'm just **** about safety. I'm too old to die with a car on my chest!

Yes, you should block the front wheels, but the car won't be any more likely to roll just because the rear is on stands, as long as the floor is level.

Yes, I had the front wheels blocked with some wood.

Thanks for that photo. I've decided to go with the six jack stands. Four at the normal jacking points and two under the front suspension. The floor in my garage is finished smooth with a sealer, and I'm just concerned any chock could/would slide.
By the way, that two by four standing vertical behind your jack stand, what is it supporting?

You mean that piece of wood?
This supports nothing, i guess i had the calliper rested on it while I assembled the parking brake.
