Default Pulls to left on acceleration

76 Vette with 90,000 miles. Mild 350. All pretty much stock.

Recently my Vette pulls to the left on any acceleration. Let off the gas and it starts to go straighter. Rev it in neutral and no pull. I havent been driving it much so I dont know when it really started.

I just did the back brake calipers and changed the rear lube to Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75-90w (I didnt add the GM limited slip additive).

http://msdspds.castrol.com/bpglis/FusionPDS.nsf/Files/70B3A05A360B7B1F80257AA9005378CC/$File/Castrol_Syntrax_Limited_Slip_75W_90_0047 4.pdf

I dont know how it was before the lube change, but now I can easily turn one back wheel while the other is on the ground.

I looked around the rear end and didnt see anything obvious. When I jack it up, the tires do seriously shake back and forth when my hands are at the 2 and 7 oclock position. The only play I could see was the yoke end play going in and out of the diff. I have read already that some end play is ok for the yokes. The play between the backing plate and the rotor seems to be nil, so I don't think it is bearings. And there is no bearing noise.

Link to vid of the yoke end play:

Could it really be the the lube change that is causing this issue?

Also, sounds like it is similar to this guys problem

Thanks, Ken

Maybe the steering shaft rag joint is worn... mine was and a symptom was sloppy steering falling off one way or the other - accelerating and deaccelerating.

It's been mentioned before but what about your Trailing Arms? My car did that but also shifted the other direction when decelerating....

I had to replace the trailing arm bushings because mine did the exact same thing. All better now.

Yep, trailing arms - but, "while you're at it" save some future grief and do the rear wheel bearings. It's only money. Money is only paper until you spend it.
