Having an issue with the passenger side power window. When I roll up the window, the window stops about 2-3 inches from the top. If I go up and down a few times the window will straighten itself out and eventually go to the top. I removed the door panel to check inside the door. I found that the nut that bolts the window to the vertical window guide fell off. I re-attached the window and when I tried to roll up the window, it hits in a couple of places and won't roll up but a couple of inches. Are there spacers that go between the window and the window roller? I removed the guide from the window at this point and it at least rolls up most of the way. I also noticed that when I roll up the window and it binds by the top, if I slide the window towards the back of the car it will then roll up the rest of the way with no problem.
Make sure that when you are testing your window you have the CAR RUNNING. More voltage (due to the engine running and the alternator providing more current) makes the motor work better so you are not chasing out issues why it will no go all the way up or why it is not contacting the upper stops.
If your window assembly is CORRECT...you SHOULD NOT be able to grab the window and pull it to the rear. That is telling me that your front roller is bad.
You HAVE TO BE very PRECISE on what the window is hitting when it is coming up and NOT just write that"it hits in a couple of places". Because 'these places' that the window is hitting can cause for a different repair procedures.
There are NO SPACERS that go between the front roller attached to the door glass.
IF you have 'in and out' movement in the FRONT ROLLER and the REAR ROLLER...they are shot and will need to be replaced....and trying to CORRECTLY adjust the door glass and have it work correctly is a waste of time. The power window regulator can also be worn out....NO SO MUCH the gear that rides on the motor gear...but the rollers that are in the horizontal beam and also the tilting track also. Minor amounts of play in these parts...when added up...can cause a window to 'have a mind of its own'. AND TRUST ME...I have done more door glass repairs that would make your head spin.

Any help or insight would be great.
Since the nut was off the guide has been replaced and you have these issues I would consider doing a complete re-adjust on the entire door glass.
