Hi all!

Looking for a small ground for the HEI...do inspection plate bolts work on the plate??

could you clarify your question, are you talking about the module ground as in this article?

HEI does not use a separate gnd. It grounds thru the housing to the block.

If swapping from a points type ign make sure its getting full 12v, not the ballast wire.

it is for the black grounding wire of the distributor...

is the inspection plate bolts a decent ground?

can you ground on aluminum heads?

something doesnt make sense, why would you have an external grounding wire on a HEI distributor ? Aluminum heads will conduct electricity and can act as a ground providing the block has a ground to the frame somewhere.
