Default Engineered Cooling Products radiators are garbage

This is a hands on review for a C5 radiator from Engineered Cooling Products (aka www.speedcooling.com or engineered-products on ebay). A similar post is in C5 but since they also make radiators for C3 I want to give you guys a heads up.

My first engineered cooling products radiator started leaking within 2 months and the replacement started leaking on day 1. BTW, they made me pay for the return shipping. Mine has a tiny pinhole in the weld that leaks.

Now they want to offer another replacement. They are just blowing me off. Considering the lack of quality control this is not acceptable and I may never get my money back. For my total cost of coolant, time, shipping, and the radiator, I almost could have bought a name brand aluminum radiator. However, at this point I still do not have a functioning one.

Maybe they only have ONE defective radiator and they just keep shipping it and getting it returned. The 'business model' might be to make money on the shipping charges, return shipping charges and restocking fees!

Their prices were really low!! Apparently they're not epoxy'd. Maybe made in China? Just as a general principal, I don't think I'd ever buy a $200 aluminum radiator.

IMHO: if it had begun with a D, it is far less likely we would be reading this.
