It ain't a "Motion Car" without Rosen's documentation!! He has the vin's of his work. If the seller is trying to pass this vette off as such, tell her so. End of story. As posted before, if you really want this car, then go for it. You can document it later on, if you desire. But don't pay more for the car because it may-be a BM car. According to the paperwork the guy had, it is a Mako but built by Bladwin... I don't know, but the paperwork looked legit and the price was high enough :lol:
Is this a car an original big block car? Almost all of the Motion cars were big blocks. Motion built Corvettes to customer order so they were not all the same. He built a Phase III Corvette with mostly engine mods, a Phase III GT with engine and body mods, a Maco (spelled with c) that looks like the Mako show car, a Manta Ray, a Spyder, and maybe others. Motion also sold the body parts separately by mail order so there are some cars that were home built.
She said she had it appraised 7 years ago and it was valued at 12,500.
Since then, she added new paint, suspension, engine, and a stereo.
She mentioned something about a priceguide, and said the high value on it would be $32,000, low would be 14,000 or so. I think I better find out what "book" that is and maybe sell mine! :)
Anyway, she said she is going to list it in auto shopper, and possibly list it on EBAY. Maybe she will call me back if she does not sell it there!
If it IS a Motion car, than anything "new" she did to it DECREASES, not increases the value. Subtract the cost of the mods from the book price, then she'll know what it's worth, IF it has documentation.
