UnderDASH HEADLAMP HOSE HELP...
anyone have a good schematic for this?
the AIM is decent...
i oddly have a "t" bar coming off the little canister under tach...where this is not shown on the AIM...
would love some help with this!
69 vert.
thanks,
R
The valve is actually part of the wiper door control but is inter-connected with the headlight hoses because they share the 'control' vacuum supply.
In the 71 AIM it's shown in UPC 12, Sheet B9.
The small hose runs through the firewall from the check valve to the small 'T' you mention.
From that 'T' a short yellow striped hose runs to the nipple at the end of the can of the relay mounted behind the tachometer.
A small black hose runs from the 'T' to the rear nipple of the head light switch.
A small white striped hose runs from the nipple nearest the other end of the can to the upper connection for the over-ride pull down switch under the steering column.
The nipple pointed directly away from the can is a vent and should have a small square foam filter on it.
Regards,
Alan

i will have to re-check my hoses...
How does this system operate?? where does it get the vacuum from?
does it take time to build up? engine running only?
I have nothing actually attached to the engine...
Thanks!
Ron
