Just installed my new Dart 415 crate motor from CNC Motorsports with the help of RebelRob from the forum. Wow! This motor is a beast! Dyno sheet shows 545hp and 518 tq. I initially had a popping issue at about 6000 rpm. I yanked out the Mallory Unilite set-up and put in all new MSD pieces. Problem solved. Here are some pics.
Looks good. Congrats. What's hiding under the rag?
Just making sure nothing accidently falls into the carb. :-O Bought an AED 750 HO from the engine builder so when the motor was dyno'd I had a fairly tuned carb.

Thanks. I was wondering what carb is on it, I know about the rag.

did you by chance have a black manifold on your other engine.Iread a write up on your car in a magazine.I see you have borgeson stering as well, let meknow if you want to install a t56 , just finished mine.next is my moter, that will be a good autocross moter, nice how torque and hp are close .
I got to ride shotgun on the maiden voyage... and as Glackore was mid-way into 2nd gear the tires started spinning and we got a little sideways. That was interesting...
and that's before he replaced the faulty Mallory ignition...
His set up has a nasty exhaust note.
The Hooker side pipes gather attention and command respect on the street.
Gary, it looks mean as hell. I couldn't be happier for you!!! that's got to be a beast!!!!
glad to see your back on the road.
can't wait to see it and hear it in person!!!
Mine is a CNC motor too - same message on the carb, same blockoff plates (t-stat, water pump, exhaust ports). I'm running different valve covers and heads (AFR 195s) to cover smog concerns out here in CA. Nearly as much torque, but down 100hp. "Smaller" engine as well.
