Default Side Exit Exhaust Question

Okay, so I've searched this forum and many others top and bottom looking for an answer but no luck. So here goes, What are the pros and cons of adding side exit exhaust where it dumps in front of the rear tire? The set up I wish to run includes, Headers, true dual to SLP loudmouth 2 bullet resonators, then a 45 degree angle leading to a Dr. Gas boom tube tip. I understand that exhaust heat and my 1980's plastic side moldings would not mix well, however I plan to add a heat shield lip that would extend from beneath the vehicle then a 90 degree turn up guarding the plastic from the heat.
I know one significant problem would be ground clearance but the Dr. Gas Boom tubes only measure 1 3/4 inch in height.
Here is a link to the tips I hope to use http://www.drgas.com/Boom-Tube-Tip_p_39.html

In the end it would look something like this

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

my suggestion is climb under the car and see where your going to put everything. there isn't room for a system like that. an actual side pipe system that runs under the door outside the frame is your only viable option.

I see the question has been answered-----not even suggesting this....just asking-----wouldn't the frame need an angled notch on the under-side for the chrome tip to fit in so the exhaust pipe wouldn't be low to the ground?

most definitely it would need to be notched, not sure id want to cut 2" out of my frame at any place on the main rail. i admit that would be cool but it just doesn't work out on a c3.

Not sure of the pros/cons of doing your side exhaust but i like it.

Keep us informed as to what you end-up doing.

Cant we exhaust the pipes before the curvature of the frame comes into play? Would be a great idea. Not wanting to notch a frame tho. Also one would need a muffler to silence the noise.
