Default New pistons

I recently picked up a 327 that is 60 thou over with brand new pistons and rings it is all apart. Can I use an original 327 crank without getting it balanced to pistons, this car is not going to be raced or anything like that just driven on the odd weekend. All opinions appreciated. Phil

Get it re-balanced. The pistons are likely heavier than what it was born with. A couple hundred $ is cheap. Get the harmonic balancer and flywheel balanced while you're at it.(This part not as critical)

You don't have to get it balanced. It was never balanced at the factory.

If the pistons weigh the same as the old ones or are a little lighter it will not matter to get it balanced, you'll know right away when driving if you messed up, at a certain rpms the engine will vibrate, with that being said I did new pistons and rods in my 350 and did not get it rebalanced and it's all good, my new pistons and rods weighed the same as my old set
