Default Frt suspension ?

This is on my 77. Previous owner replaced all pieces in the rear, trailing arms, bushings brake components etc. I am thinking I want to replace the frt end bits so I know everything is new. I was thinking I would. Purchase moog parts but then I looked on some of the sites and see rebuild kits available but I question the quality and durability of the pieces. Have any of you guys used these kits and if so what did you think of the quality. Next question is on control arm bushings what's the benefit to poly over rubber? If it makes a difference this is just a normal driver car. Thanks

I bought my kit from Wilcox. It hasn't been in that long but they seem to be good quality.

I had my '74 control arms rebuilt with poly bushings. Supposedly they will last longer than rubber. Compared to my '80 with stock bushings, I feel like the polys give a more positive response than rubber. Feels like they give a little less than the rubber. I remember trying to obtain rebuilt control arms, but they were not available.

I will admit that I installed Bilstein sports and new GT springs at the same time so the change could be blamed on them.

Stick with the moog parts based on my experience. Some of the other stuff can be questionable.

Moog, I went to Advanced Auto and they gave me a special price. The kit I got from a low price kit vendor lasted 8K miles, the original rubber lasted 90K. Moog and forget about doing it again because you wanted to save 20 bucks.

The Moog is on the right.

Thanks for the replies, they confirmed my thoughts as well. Something's aren't worth trying to save a few bucks on.

I found another forum member selling upper arms with new bushings and ball joints from his 76, from what I can see in the parts books I think they are the same as on my 77 but can someone confirm that before I purchase them? Also should the bolts that mount the arms to the frame be replaced when doing this or are they ok to reuse?
