Help!!
OK this is embarrassing but I need some info fast, I have a brain cramp and feeling stupid. I'm about ready to relocate and I have my partially restored car transported. I have an automatic transmission with a standard differential and went to check if it's in neutral and no matter what gear I put it in, the tires spin in opposite directions. Two questions:
1 How can I tell if I'm in neutral.
2. When the flatbed pulls her up will it damage the transmission?
This isn't my corvette, it's my '67 t-bird....but unlike you guys they don't respond quickly and the truck arrives on Friday!

If you tow the car with only a front-wheel dolly, you will have to remove the driveshaft. The GM auto trannies do not have a rear oil pump, so the tranny will be running 'dry' if you tow it with rear wheels on the ground.
