Default manifold heat ports

I had to pull my intake off and saw that it has the heat ports for heating carb.what years didnt have these.I want a gasket without the provisions so as to block it off. My gas vaporizes in bowls.I put on a heat shield between carb and manifold. It helped some.

Most intake gaskets have a metal plate included that you can install over that port to block the exhaust heat. It will also help to not burn the paint on your intake if you have a painted intake.

Most intake manifold gasket kits come with blocker plates that can be inserted with the gaskets to block off heat-riser exhaust flow. If you don't make many cold-weather starts with your car, it's a good idea to install those blocker plates. It's also a good idea to cut off the heat-riser valve in the right-side exhaust manifold outlet. If that 'puppy' gets stuck in the closed position, you can have some real nasty engine damage.

I have headers and an electric choke.Found gasket set with plates with small hole in them.put aluminum over them to cut off completely.
