I have a 73 coupe that i have sweated and bled on for five years .Its my first vette and i waited 25 years to purchase .Car is nice with complete frame on finished .My dilemma. I have a guaranteed sale for high end book .I am in my second week of a strike and who knows when it will be over .Its really not a money issue just antsy i guess .BTW i am the third owner have all receipts back to first owner and this is a no accident car .JUst some advice guys .
Cases of Raman noodles to eat before selling the Vette. Priorities, priorities.
Don't do it! I damn sure know how long I had to wait before I was able to get my car. Can't image selling "the other woman" if I did not absolutely have to and would regret it every step of the way. :nonod: :nonod: :nonod:
Sounds like a fine car. Keep it! What is the high-end value of your blood, sweat and tears? If rent and food is not an issue, you will regret selling when things turn for the better.
I'm with the others, kkep it since you already know what you got. Selling then buying another one with unknown surprises can be very scary. Besides 73's are  .
I may be the only opposing view. If this is the car of your dreams then I would agree with the others, BUT, if not and you are satisfied with the $$$ sell. There are a lot of beautiful vettes out there and I am sure there is one with your name on it!!! As far as the money, put it away, don't spend it. When things are better, hopefully soon, start the search. The best buying time is just around the corner, Nov thru Jan. It my be hard, you spent loads of hours getting the car where you want it, you learned a ton about the C3’s and you can take that knowledge and do it better the next time. I enjoy working on mine. As long as you purchase a vette that you can drive right away, the improvements can also be fun. Good luck and I hope you get a big raise with your next position.
