Where'd this engine come from?
Sorry for the same ol' question, but could use some #'s assistance please. I thought I had the info but when buying a starter last night it confused me some. Starter was from an 82-87 SBC. I know lots will fit so it prolly got changed out years ago. Anyway, here's what I know. Casting # is 14016379 which Mor-Tec shows as a 77-79 350 and it is a 4 bolt, forged crank engine, TRW's in a std bore. What I do not know is what it came out of, was told it was a 79 L-82 vette engine. Front pad #'s are VO5O2ZBA and 19S435009. Thanks for your kind patience on ANOTHER where did it come from question. :cheers:

The ZBA suffix has been used twice, both for Vettes. (VO5O2ZBA, V=Flint engine plant, 0502=engine assembly date May 2nd, ZBA=engine useage).
1979 350/225hp with manual trans, Vette L82
1982 350/200hp as the famous L83 Cross-fire in the Vette
The other number, 19S435009, indicates it is out of a 79 Vette, VIN # 435009. (1=chevy, 9=year, S=St Louis, 4=place holder, 35009=build sequence)
