Default Where does this capacitor connect?
Where does this connect? I took out the left dash pad and center gauge cluster. I forgot where this connects. Capacitor has "ZB173" and ".47 MFD printed on it. I think it goes on the ammeter, but I don't know which lead.

Screws to the back of the clock and connected to the Voltage meter.

Model year? For 68, it connects to the top terminal on the ammeter. Probably the same for other model years. FWIW: the AIM shows all the RFI capacitors for the factory radio.

it just piggy backs in the spade connector, and it screws to the back of the center cluster

It will only work on one side. The other has a bump for the connector. As Mike side my 69 is on the top.

It's very unlikely that your 40+ year old, paper-wrapped, capacitor is still functional. But, it won't hurt anything to stick it back where it belongs.
