Where does this connect? I took out the left dash pad and center gauge cluster. I forgot where this connects. Capacitor has "ZB173" and ".47 MFD printed on it. I think it goes on the ammeter, but I don't know which lead.
Model year? For 68, it connects to the top terminal on the ammeter. Probably the same for other model years. FWIW: the AIM shows all the RFI capacitors for the factory radio.

It's very unlikely that your 40+ year old, paper-wrapped, capacitor is still functional. But, it won't hurt anything to stick it back where it belongs.
