Brake switch?
Nevermind, i was looking at the wrong sw. On diagram...
Repairing a lot of past owners patch jobs...
This is the brake sw. On the 72.....my wiring diagram only shows a tan wire for the sw. Here, they have cut both orange, and run one to a hot terminal on the fuse block. And well, you see...
Is orange correct? If so, ill reconnect , cut out the hot white wire that was added, and find the original problem...

The tan wire is for the brake warning light in your dash ( tan at proportioning valve and at parking brake handle)
Orange is constant 12+ power for your brake lights- and white goes to the "stop" lights.
