SS radiator hoses
A guy who owed me money recently gave me two stainless steel kits . One was a radiator hose kit , the other a heater hose kit. They each include four billet aluminum ends and the clamps. Neither kit has ever been installed. They are summit brand. Any of you guys ever installed this brand on your vehicle? How reliable are they? They sure would look good under my hood! Any opinions would be appreciated. :chevy

In my experience I trust anything with the summit name. Are you talking about the hose dress up kit, or the legitimate flex hose stainless kit? I had the problem of my alternator belt cutting up under my upper radiator hose, and the stainless kit helped protect that hose from getting rubbed through.

What I have is the real stainless steel hoses. My concern was leaks and whether the hoses would stay put once you formed them in place.

I use the stainless steel flex hoses on my 68' and they are great!!! No leaks and they will never need to be replaced!!!
