Just installed some Sweet Thunder side pipes. Haven’t got the covers yet. The pipes sound great but there is what seems to be a rattle noise on deceleration. Most noticeable when idling when I rev the motor and it returns back to idle however when I hold the palm of my hand over the exhaust opening after revving the engine the backpressure pulls my hand back and the sound goes away so I leads me to believe there is nothing loose or rattling around in the pipe. Just wondering if anybody has installed these same pipes and had the same issue and what was done to resolve it whether it be advance or retarding the timing. Lean or richen the carb or maybe somehow welding in a crossover?

Here a couple of videos of sweet thunder side pipes on my car.
I hope this helps, I don't hear that noise in mine. I even disconnected the side pipes to hear a difference
can you video to see what your's sounds like?
Nice looking ride Your pipes sound great. I took a video but seems to sound normal in the audio although you can slightly hear the rattle as it idles down. way louder in person lol. I have a small block so I'm sure your big block has a very different sound
