Trying to find out some information. From what I have gathered, it looks like the center grilles for the 73-74 were the same. My 78 has the bumper stops on the front of the nose. I have searched high and low for one of the "Grillemates" that were sold years ago. Ebay and the forums have produced no results. Instead of the license plate there, it was a grille instead that matched each of the front grilles. So my question is this...Will a center grille fron the 73 or 74 fit in that spot and would it match up. Looking at pictures, it may be a possibility? Can anyone elaborate on this...?

NO...modification to any of the 1968 to 1974 grilles would need to be performed. They are angled...and your bumper is flat where the license plate goes. They will just not go right on....it will take some work to work out the dynamics.

Thanks Dub...you wouldnt by chance have one of the "Grillemates" for the 75-79's laying around in the shop that you'd be interested in making a few bucks off of would you? Or if you know a client who might be willing to part with theirs...?

All I know is one customer who has for one for a 1980-1982 style bumper on his 1980...and I know he does not want to get rid of it.
